Most
of you know that Computer Aided Drafting exists but might not understand how
it can give you and your properties the advantage over your competition. The
ability to retrieve plans, reuse portions of drawings, make changes, and calculate
square footage quickly and accurately, can improve your ability to market, manage
and sell Real Estate.

CAD: START UP: The initial step is to input your property into our CAD
system. This is done by obtaining original building plans, a plat of survey,
or by our on-site field measuring. Our input
should include the building's footprint, exterior doors, windows, columns,washrooms,
location of the electric main and other core items. It should also include demising
walls between tenants, or between private and common areas such as corridors.
Interior buildout of individual units can be added later. After the "as-built"conditions
are in the system, your options are wide open.
CAD: PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL:
- Use the initial plan for quick inexpensive marketing flyers.
- Plans can be incorporated into a brochure that we create in-house.
- Each printout can be customized to display specific information.
- Camera ready artwork can be sent electonically to your printer.
- As tenants move in or out, the CAD file can be updated to show actual
buildout.
- Flexibility in printing can include all or part of the overall building,
such as a single unit or various units combined together.
- Drawings can be printed at any size, from a tiny 2"x2" image (for flyers)up
to a very large 36"x48" drawing.

CAD: DRAWINGS FOR BUDGET PRICING, ACCURATE BIDS, BUILDING PERMITS AND CONSTRUCTION:
- Combined with our standard details and specific technical information
as needed, the same initial drawing can be used for pricing the scope of
work, or for building permits.
- Items like electrical outlets, mechanical systems and plumbing locations
can be kept on separate "layers" for future retrieval of information.
- Certain information on the drawings such as notes or interior buildout
could be left on or off as needed, merely by turning off the specific
"layers".
- The same initial drawing can be used as a base plan for consulting engineers.
Any information sent back to us can be quickly incorporated into our CAD
file.
CAD: ADDED BENEFITS OF OUR SERVICE

- Determine exact square footages of any unit or portion of the
building.
- We can scan your logo or the property's logo into our computer and
incorporate this on your drawings or marketing material.
- Drawing scale or size can be changed easily, allowing for faxable reductions
at 8 1/2" x 11" and large formats for blueprints up to 36" x 48".
- The output is crisp, sharp and accurate.
- Drawings can be sent electronically, via modem or disk, to printers,
engineers, landscape designers and interior decorators.
- We have the ability to save our files in various formats, and can often
convert a CAD drawing to a format usable in your desktop publishing program.
In this manner, you can create your own marketing flyers.
